The blocking station at Acculab is specifically designed for higher precision in manual alloy blocking. It is also an optimal environment for free form and advanced Rx production.
How It Works:
Adhesive tape is affixed to the front of each blank to prevent the front from being scratched during the blocking process. A lens blank is placed into the blocker, which contains a heated, metal alloy that fuses the block to the front of the blank. The blocks are used to hold each lens in place during the grinding and polishing processes.
What Makes Us Unique:
High-resolution, optical detection guarantees precise lens alignment. The after-clamping check monitors that every blocked lens meets the tight tolerance criteria needed for premium surfacing. A computer-controlled alloy filling station enables an uninterrupted and economical flow of alloy.
