Our Founder Chris Brundies
My optical journey began in December 1988, crafting lenses for the Army for six and a half years. After leaving the military, I managed a retail store with its own lab. In 2005, I shifted to wholesale labs and poured all my energy into building AccuLab from a one-person operation. Back then, I handled everything: sales, maintenance, customer service, training, and lens production.
Over the years, I’ve grown an amazing team, allowing me to focus on guiding our lab’s success. The industry’s cutting-edge advancements continue to inspire me and drive AccuLab forward. From military precision to retail and now wholesale, every step of this journey has fueled my passion for thriving in this ever-evolving market.

Blocker
How It Works: Adhesive tape prevents scratches during blocking. A heated metal alloy fuses a block to the lens blank, holding it in place for grinding and polishing.
What Makes Us Unique: High-resolution detection ensures precise alignment, and a computer-controlled alloy station ensures efficient flow and consistent quality.
Laser
How It Works: AccuLab's laser marking system etches key information, such as lens style, 180-line, material, and add power, onto each lens with precision.
What Makes Us Unique: This system allows for functional laser marks and product branding, ensuring high-quality and detailed markings.
Generator
How It Works: The generator is a three-axis lathing machine that cuts precise optical curves into lenses with a diamond-tipped drill.
What Makes Us Unique: Five computers and gold communication lines for fast, high-resolution data transfer, ensuring precision in both freeform and Rx lens designs.
Anti-Reflective Coating
How It Works: Lenses are coated with a scratch-resistant lacquer, cleaned ultrasonically, and then treated with up to 345 layers of anti-reflective coating, creating a smooth, dirt- and water-resistant surface.
What Makes Us Unique: Our AR system combines reliable components and modern technology for high-quality results.
Polisher
How It Works: Lenses are polished in stages, first with an abrasive foam pad, then a smooth plastic pad, and finished with a compound of aluminum oxide, water, and polymers.
What Makes Us Unique: Our intelligent tool management system tracks pad usage and alerts when replacements are needed, ensuring consistent quality.
Edging & Finishing
How It Works: A tracer measures the frame, and the lenses are shaped and beveled in an edger, with water flowing during the process.
What Makes Us Unique: Our edgers offer advanced features like high-curve beveling, grooving, and 3D drilling, ensuring top-quality lenses.
